Services for Senior Citizens
Senior citizens are at a higher risk than others to become infected with COVID-19, so ensuring these residents stay home to avoid exposure is extremely important. With that, many seniors may be isolated, or unable to access food or transportation to necessary medical appointments. Lake County residents are served by Vernon Township, and Cook County residents by Wheeling Township. Please click the township names for resources and contact information for assistance, and click here for additional resources. Please also remember to check on elderly residents in the community, especially those who live alone.
Please Dispose of
Gloves and Masks in the Trash!
Buffalo Grove community members are reminded to please dispose of gloves and masks properly by placing them in the trash. Area businesses, as well as neighborhoods have seen these items discarded on the ground, in streets, and in parking lots. These items pose health risks due to the potential spread of germs and COVID-19. Click here for more information. Waste Management also is reminding residents that latex gloves do not belong in the recycling bin, but also in the trash.
