Dear Barrington 220 Community,
This week I’m continuing my video series, All in 220, at the Barrington Early Learning Center!
As I mentioned last month, the district held an opening day for staff members before our students returned to school in August. During this event, I talked to staff about what makes Barrington 220 #ThePlaceToB and how I believe one of the secret ingredients to our success or “secret sauce” is the dedication of our staff. For my All in 220 series this year, I’m teaming up with our students to surprise staff members who make Barrington 220 #ThePlaceToB. For the second episode, I sat down with Katie, a student at the Barrington Early Learning Center, who says that Social Worker Jennifer Williams is the “secret sauce” that makes the ELC such a special place.
Ms. Jennifer has worked at the ELC as a Social Worker since 1999. ELC Principal Michelle Tapia tells me that she is a fierce advocate for our students, and she demonstrates and shares her expertise by collaborating with families frequently to provide resources, support, and ideas for our youngest learners. I want to thank her for her hard work and dedication to the district.
In addition, I want to thank a few BHS students who helped with this project. BHS culinary student Esbeiry Lopez, made the “secret sauce” I presented to Ms. Jennifer in the video. BHS graphic design students Grace Barger and Sabrina Collette helped design the label on the sauce jar.
