Alzheimer’s New Jersey currently runs over 40 Family Support Groups that help caregivers cope with the daily challenges of living with dementia. Our groups are always free and open to the community. They are run by volunteer support group facilitators who receive specialized training about Alzheimer’s disease, caregiver needs, group facilitation techniques and best practices. We recently completed a training program at our Headquarters office in Roseland.
“Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease can be very isolating. When you attend a group you are surrounded by people who you connect with because they understand. It’s about education and new friendships.”
Ken Zaentz, President and CEO
