Plano Grad Returns for Summer Internship

For Ashley Gaudlip, coming back home to Plano to seek a summer internship just made sense. A 2013 graduate of Plano Senior High School, Gaudlip grew up in Plano. She currently attends Tulane University in New Orleans, where she is studying architecture, preservation and the Classics.

When considering summer internship opportunities, Gaudlip immediately thought of The Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation, Inc., a Plano-based non-profit that manages Plano’s Interurban Railway Museum and is involved in a wide variety of community historic preservation initiatives.

Corina Sadler Graduates from Plano's Leadership for the 21st Century Program
Leadership for the 21st Century (L21) is a 6-month program for employees looking forward to future leadership positions. The goal of L21 is to enhance leadership skills by improving personal effectiveness and increasing knowledge to make a positive impact on the City of Plano.

Math Tutor Gil Lee Wins Community Hero Award
Dr. Gil Lee, UTD Electrical Engineering professor and VIP, won the Community Hero Award from Tech Titans (Metroplex Technology Business Council) in August. Lee heads the math tutoring program at the Harrington Library and is founder of IntelliChoice, a nonprofit organization that teaches math to underprivileged children.
