December 2018
Dear FJG Family,
With the holidays upon us and 2018 drawing to a close, it's a great time to reflect on this unforgettable year. I recognize that we wouldn't be where we are without the contributions made by each and every one of our team members. The company has thrived because of your hard work and dedication. I am grateful for your tremendous efforts and wish you all a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year.

Sincerely,

Taylor Franklin

Be the Solution Winners Solution
Congratulations to the following team members for taking extraordinary measures to  Be the Solution  at their communities:

Craig Dorler, Debt & Equity Manager, TFJG Corporate Office in Virginia Beach
Craig was nominated by our Development Administrative Assistant, Kayla Ferdiani. Kayla wrote: "He has always been so helpful with me since I started here. Usually when he is training me on something new I have no idea what he is talking about. While I look at him like he has 3 heads, he doesn't get angry or upset. Instead, he is patient with me and will explain it different ways for me to understand. I know that I can ask him any questions without hesitation. It seems like our development team is always adding something to his plate & he accomplishes each task without a complaint. He is a true team player and is a great part of our development team".

Etavis Dawson, Maintenance Technician, River House Apartments
Etavis was nominated by his Community Manager, Jenny Humphries. Jenny wrote: "Etavis always has a positive attitude and never says he can't do something. He is always willing and eager to learn new things. Etavis has truly stepped up in his role and taken on extra work with no hesitation. We just hired a new maintenance tech who started Monday, and he is now also training him. I just really appreciate him so much and am thankful to have him here at River House. He is a true team player and has really made this transition so much smoother. We are exited to see him promote to Maintenance Supervisor in the near future.

Pam Jennings, Community Manager, The Crossings at Heritage
Pam was nominated by The Crossings at Heritage Leasing Specialist, Cindy Davis. Cindy wrote: "Working and managing a senior property has its own set of dynamics - unique joys and challenges. Any given day, you might find yourself following an ambulance that just whizzed by, running to rescue of a resident (a stroke survivor) that needs a little help down the clubhouse stairs but won't ask for it, planning parties that seniors would enjoy, fielding questions that only seniors would ask, setting up for a Bingo game.... playing a Bingo game, to name a few. I've seen Pam Jennings do them all. But here's a little something she's done and continues to do for me: Since many of our senior residents don't communicate by email or choose to have internet, any communication we send out most be hand-delivered to all 120 units, put in their doors, one unit at a time. Any given month, this communication could be a filter change notice, a hurricane or winter alert, a newsletter, an event update, etc. Since I came on board many months ago, I've been in physical therapy for an ongoing knee issue. Normally it would be my job to help with notices, but Pam has insisted to deliver all of them. She claims that she truly enjoys walking the property, and mingling with residents. I claim that she is a "super women" and that her "going the extra mile" has "been the solution".

Warrenell Jackson, Accounts Payable Manager, Corporate Office
Warrenell is an extremely hardworking individual. Whenever I ask for something, she never hesitates to help, and I can always depend on her to complete the project with urgency. On top of that, she has an incredible attitude! She is a ray of sunshine here at the office. Hearing her greet her TFJG teammates and seeing her infectious smile is refreshing. I know I'm not the only one thankful for her hard work! We appreciate you so much, Warrenell.
