SUMMER 2022
VISTE’s mission is to enable elderly persons to remain
safely and independently in their own homes.
We hope everyone is having a great
(and safe) summer! At VISTE, in addition to ongoing programs and summer projects, we have been pleased to welcome numerous volunteer groups. Below are just a few. On behalf of our 4,000 elderly clients, THANK YOU!!

CELEBRATE! | VISTE’s 40th Anniversary
In 2023 VISTE will celebrate 40 years of service to local seniors! Beginning this fall we’ll be sharing previews, new developments, and fun activities on social media (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) and our website, VISTE.org. A Board Reunion event is also in the works. Thanks to the 40th Anniversary Committee and Chairperson Lu Fitzwater for the great work!
18th Annual VISTEBall
Our signature fundraising event will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 – join us in person at Sun ‘n Fun in Lakeland. The popular golf-themed event includes games, prizes, food and drink, and much more. BONUS – the official VISTE 40th Anniversary kick-off will take place at VISTEBall 2023! Save room for cake!
Welcome New Board
& Advisory Board Members!
THANK YOU to Callie Neslund for her outstanding years of service to VISTE, most recently as Board Chairman. In July Callie handed the gavel to VISTE’s new Board Chairman, Troy Garcia, who has served as Vice Chairman since 2016. • Thanks to Sunshine Health for funding 450 Hot Meals for our most vulnerable elderly clients!

  • Thanks to T. Mims Corp. and the City of Lakeland for another spectacular Red, White & Kaboom! Nearly 1,000lbs. of food was collected during that event to help local seniors maintain their independence

  • Thanks to all who sponsored, donated, packed, and delivered personal care boxes to help make VISTE Cares 2022 a success! We were touched by the many thank-you notes we received from clients, including the following:
"Dear VISTE Friends, thank you so very much for all your thoughtfulness. And WOW what a surprise to receive a large box of supplies the other day. I have certainly been blessed with all your services including meals and transportation to the doctor. May each and every one be greatly blessed for all you do." Sincerely, Barbara
THANK YOU to EVERYONE who has supported VISTE throughout the past 39
years. It would be impossible to continue this good work without YOU!
