Building Wild with Nature
 Explore 7 different building stations.
Your imagination will soar as you use blocks, branches, bricks, stumps, twigs and logs to build habitats at locations throughout the campus.

Fill the Canoe
As a gesture of thanks and giving, VLM will be doing our annual “Fill the Canoe” with non-perishable food items to benefit the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. As a thank you, individuals who bring their item will receive a coupon for a fountain drink or coffee at the Wild Side Café.

Stargazing Second Saturdays
Every second Saturday of the month enjoy free stargazing beginning at sunset. This Saturday enjoy free munchies and glow-in-the-dark tattoos! The evening includes a planetarium program and several laser shows for a fee.

Dino on the Loose
Join our walking T. rex for a 15 minute dinosaur parade, photo ops and a roaring good time on the Dinosaur Discovery Trail!

Turkey Pardoning
Celebrate the long and healthy lives of our wild turkeys during the VLM's tenth annual Turkey Pardoning. Join Newport News Mayor McKinley Price as he pardons the turkeys.
