It has certainly been a busy time for our local marketplace, and we are excited to bring you the tools and training you need to stay effective!
On February 16th, we integrated ShowingTime into the MLS. Now you can schedule and manage appointments with ease! If you have not set up your Showing Time profile and preferences, be sure to do so as soon as possible by going to Menu> Products> ShowingTime in the MLS.
I am pleased to announce the relaunch of MLS Mondays. Beginning 3/8/21, I will be hosting a virtual Open House to discuss MLS issues, review Flex features, and answer questions. Join me for the entire hour, or just jump on to get a quick question answered. The meeting link can be found here, and we will use the same one throughout April; be sure to bookmark it or save it on your calendar, so you don't miss it!
Finally, we are going to be hosting some MLS classes through March and April. Class topics, dates, and times are below. If you can't make a class, schedule a one-on-one with me!

As a member of Vail Board of REALTORS® , agents can use ShowingTime for the MLS Core to easily schedule showings on you listings, 24/7.
While these requests can easily be confirmed with a click or tap of a button, showing agents still need instructions on how they will be given access so they can actually show the property. Adding showing instructions in ShowingTime ensures showing agents receive confirmation emails with access instructions—rather than a blank confirmation with no instructions—so they don’t have any problems getting access to show the home.

Broadcast Email
In October, the VMLS updated the Broadcast email rules concerning the topic of "Need" for the Real Estate List. The updated rules are below:

Need – Searching for a specific property. Solicitation of exempt listings, or requests for off-MLS listings, is prohibited. Can be sent 1x week
With the low inventory, there has been a surge in requests for off-MLS listings on the broadcast email. Please be aware that requesting off-MLS listings to be shared outside of the listing agent's office invites a violation of the Clear Cooperation Policy. This topic is not intended to be used to solicit MLS-exempt listings, but to find a property you may have missed.
The VMLS OPS Committee determined that this topic, if used properly, is a valuable tool for our members and wanted to keep it within our guidelines. When sending a "Need" email seeking a specific property, do not request off-MLS to be shared.
Permitted: NEED- Looking for a 3 bedroom townhome in Avon, range 700-900k. Please let me know if you have anything!
Prohibited: NEED- Looking for a 3 bedroom townhome in Avon, range 700-900k. Let me know if you have something that is not in the MLS!
Violations of this rule, or any other BES rules, will result in a warning for a first offense and suspensions for repeat offenses.
