Greetings!

We have officially been live with Flexmls for 3 weeks! Thank you all for your enthusiasm and patience while we launch this new MLS platform. I hope you have all had the time to really discover the power of the customizable features available in Flex!

The Flexmls team and myself will continue to roll out new updates and tweaks etc for the VMLS members over the next few weeks and months. Some items on our radar are: new reports, map overlays and auto-populating listing information through the tax records.

The VMLS and VBR Board of Directors approved a modification to the MLS fee structures in Exhibit A of the VMLS Rules and Regulations on June 16. To review the relined changes please click here. There are no changes in the fee amounts, rather the changes are pertaining to the timelines of inactivation for reinstatement.

We found out this week that SentiConnect will be upgraded on Monday, July 7 so we have decided to push the Sentrilock changes to be e ffective July 7th, our rules for SentriLock access will also be updated. Appraisers are licensed and this change will not affect them. For more information on this, please review the SentriLock section of this email.

As always, please do not hesitate if you have any questions comments or concerns!

Sincerely,

Mike Fox
VMLS Director
VMLS Rules Reminders
Branded Content in the MLS

Our rules prohibit the inclusion of branded content in any of the public facing areas of the MLS. Branded content is considered anything that can identify the listing agent or their office.
This content is prohibited in pictures, public remarks, video, virtual media and documents.

What about Disclosures?
Some documents that contain the listing agents name, office and contact info can have the privacy setting adjusted to private. This means that in Flex, listing agents can disclosure important information to the VMLS members, without having the branded content shared with the public.
When uploading any documents that contain branded information- be sure the Privacy setting is switched to Private to avoid a violation!
VMLS SentriLock Changes
The VBR and VMLS Board of Directors have approved to change its MLS Rules and Regulations not to allow affiliates and unlicensed individuals to have Sentrilock access. Appraisers are licensed and this change will not affect them. For full redlined changes, please see below. The reason for this is due to the liability of providing access to unlicensed individuals. This change was approved on April 28, 2020 and will be implemented on July 7 (this is a change from the previously announced date). The Realtor must grant access to affiliates moving forward. We understand this isn't ideal, but we do have a easy solution.

The SentriConnect Mobile App allows the listing agent to grant temporary access to their lockboxes that are assigned to a property for those who don't already have access like contractors, inspectors, and photographers. SentriConnect allows the listing agent to grant access to a specific lockbox for a specific duration of time and receive instant notifications of when the SentriConnect user accesses the lockbox.
