This year, a few themes were represented:
- AI-driven products led the way with over a half dozen companies using this technology to showcase increased efficiency in communication, education, as well as clinical diagnostics, treatment planning, and monitoring.
- Teleconsulting – from behavior consultation and support to anesthesia planning and monitoring, and more.
- Rehabilitation and quality-of-life products (wearables, supplements, post-surgery support, medication delivery system, shockwave therapy, and more).
- Clinical trials network.
- Practice listings/brokers.
- After-care alternatives including pre-planning.
- Subscription wellness plan management.
- Cryotherapy for treating tumors.
- Mentorship programs for new veterinarians.
While these companies in particular offer new options to enhance the delivery of care and are generally exciting if not a bit overwhelming, all things being equal, we believe exceptional service still wins – every time.
Although it is critical to integrate new technologies and systems into your practice to help you do what you do even better, it is also a challenge. And we agree, it is a responsibility of ours to be aware of and adopt tools that allow us to do just that. But veterinary medicine at its heart is a relationship business built on trust and credibility. Excellent medicine is without exception what we aim to provide for every patient every day. Yet a compassionate, kind, respectful experience for everyone involved in the patient journey is at the core of that care.
At AEHV and AEHD, our commitment has always been to serve as your outsourced veterinary emergency and critical care hospital. Being accessible, easy to work with, and a resource you can count on is what we do. Who we are is your collaboration partner, today, and tomorrow. We thank you for the privilege!
