From the Executive Director
The 2022 Legislative Session

This is our annual end of the legislative session issue. Click HERE for our 2022 Final Legislative Report, which outlines the bills passed this year that impact home health and hospice agencies.

The biggest news from the legislative session is the inclusion of an 8 percent Choices for Care rate increase in the budget, which will help offset the substantial subsidy home health and hospice agencies have been putting into the program to cover wage increases, retention bonuses and high gas prices.

Most of the bills we followed this year have been signed into law, but a few important bills—such as the budget bill and the health care reform bill—have not. If the Governor vetoes any of the bills we’re watching, we will update the report.
