This month we will begin to introduce the Journey to Vitality Cafes & the Six Domains of Vitality! This program combines empowered engagement and peer-to-peer support systems to help individuals improve their health and well-being.

Our staff will be handing out Resource Bags filled with water beads, bubbles, family resources, and activity calendars, perfect for summer fun!

Plus, our Parent Cafe team will be handing out supplies and recipes for Pasta Salad, yum!

These drive-thru-style pop-ups will take place from 5:30-6:30 pm in Paradise, Gridley, Oroville, and Chico.

We cannot guarantee that you will get a bag, though we are committed to continuing these modified pop-ups as they need remains.

The Child Tax Credit in the American Rescue Plan provides the largest Child Tax Credit ever, a historic relief to the most working families ever –, and as of July 15^th, most families are automatically receiving monthly payments of $250 or $300 per child without having to take any action. The Child Tax Credit will help all families succeed.

This FREE Opportunity is open to families, parents, and all adults that are responsible for parenting young children. ALL ARE WELCOME!

Families and parents, please join us as we embark on an exciting journey together. Beginning Sept 2021 and ending May 2022, VOCS will host and facilitate a monthly gathering for up to 50 families.

YJT is a strength-based curriculum designed to promote the social and emotional health of children. YJT topics provide parents with the knowledge and skills that promote resilience.

Each month we will include topics such as: Defining Resilience, Focusing on Strengths, Creating a Healthy Climate, and Strengthening Children’s Strengths, among many other topics in line with strengthening and promoting the 5 Protective Factors.

After a particularly challenging year, this is a great opportunity to receive support through the community in a safe and accepting environment.

Exact Days and Time TBD – however, we will be meeting once a month for 2 hours.
