This meaningful opportunity gives you a firsthand look at local programs while helping ensure United Way investments support initiatives that improve education, financial stability, and health in Martin County.


Volunteers are needed to review grant applications, participate in site visits, and help determine where local United Way dollars should be invested.

BUS/RV/TRUCK DRIVER

Martin County Healthy Start Coalition

WHAT: Bus/RV/Truck Driver

WHEN: Monday - Thursday

TIME: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

WHERE: Healthy Start Coalition (735 S Colorado Ave, Stuart)


Help support local moms and babies by volunteering to drive the Healthy Start Coalition MOM Mobile. This mobile maternal services unit travels throughout the community to provide vital prenatal and postpartum support, education, and resources to families who need it most.


Volunteer drivers are needed to help ensure the MOM Mobile can reach neighborhoods in need. No special license is required, though individuals with experience, such as retired bus drivers or motorhome owners, are especially encouraged to apply. If you have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a passion for helping families thrive, this is a meaningful way to give back.

THRIFT STORE

Salvation Army

WHAT: Thrift Store Associate

WHEN: Flexible, Recurring

WHERE: Salvation Army Family Store (1860 SE Federal Hwy, Stuart)


The Salvation Army Family Store is one of its largest sources of revenue for funding its local programs and services.


Volunteers are needed to help sort, tag, and organize donated items, tidy the sales floor, and assist with general store upkeep. This hands-on role helps keep store operations running smoothly and offers a flexible, recurring way to give back locally.

Help reduce food waste and support local hunger relief efforts by volunteering to glean at House of Hope’s Farm. Volunteers are needed to assist with harvesting leftover crops from the field and packing fresh produce for distribution.


This outdoor, hands-on opportunity helps ensure nutritious food reaches those who need it most.
