We are currently recruiting 35 volunteers (All Ages) to help with Habitat Restoration at Sabercat Historical Park on Saturday, December 7, 2019. This volunteer opportunity is located along Sabercat Creek. (Site is to be determined .)

This event is organized by the City of Fremont Environmental Services Division and is a Habitat Restoration. This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on the environment.

Volunteer Time: 9 am - 12 pm
Arrive 15 minutes early to sign-in. Safety information starts at 9 am .
Location: Sabercat Historical Park
Meet at the Quema Drive and Paseo Padre Parkway entrance (link for GPS navigation).

Recommended :
  • Bring a reusable water bottle, outdoor work clothes; hat, sunscreen, sturdy closed-toe shoes/boots, long pants and a long-sleeved shirt.
  • Gloves and tools will be provided. If you bring your own, please label them

Please note: This volunteer opportunity is limited to the first 35 people. Confirmations will be sent via email. If selected, please bring a completed volunteer form and a service learning verification form (if applicable).
Volunteer Tasks
  • Invasive plant removal
  • Sheet mulching over weeded areas
  • Mulch mats and expansion of browse protection cages around native tree seedlings
