Vallejo, CA- On August 31, 2025, at approximately 12:05 a.m., the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) Patrol Division and the Vallejo Fire Department (VFD) responded to a reported traffic collision in the area of Sonoma Boulevard and Tennessee Street.
Upon arrival, VPD officers located a bicyclist who had sustained significant injuries. Emergency medical personnel provided life-saving measures, and the bicyclist was transported to a local hospital. Despite medical efforts, the bicyclist was later pronounced deceased.
Preliminary reports indicate this was a vehicle versus bicyclist collision. Officers contacted the driver of the vehicle involved in this collision, and the driver was cooperative with the investigation. At this time, intoxication does not appear to have been a factor for the driver. Toxicology results for the bicyclist are pending and will be confirmed following the autopsy.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office.
This incident marks Vallejo’s eleventh traffic-related fatality of 2025.
