Vallejo, CA- On January 25, 2025, at approximately 8:22 p.m., the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) Patrol Division responded to a reported traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Lemon Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male lying unresponsive in the roadway. Officers immediately initiated lifesaving measures until relieved by emergency medical personnel. Despite their efforts, the male succumbed to his injuries at the scene and was pronounced deceased by Vallejo Fire Department paramedics.
The identity of the deceased male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that alcohol and drugs were not contributing factors in the collision.
This tragic incident marks the first traffic-related fatality in Vallejo in 2025.
