Vallejo, CA- On April 11, 2025, at approximately 3:34 a.m., the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) Patrol Division and the Vallejo Fire Department (VFD) responded to a reported traffic collision in the 1000 block of Fairgrounds Drive.
Upon arrival, VPD officers located a vehicle that had collided with a tree along the east side of Fairgrounds Drive. The sole occupant of the vehicle was found unresponsive in the driver's seat. VFD paramedics attempted life-saving measures but were unable to locate any signs of life. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling on Fairgrounds Drive when it veered off course and collided with multiple fixed objects, including the tree. No other vehicles or individuals were involved in the collision.
Evidence located at the scene suggests alcohol may have been a contributing factor. Toxicology results are pending and will be confirmed following the autopsy.
The identity of the deceased male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
This incident marks Vallejo's fourth traffic-related fatality of 2025.
