Vallejo, CA- On March 3, 2025, at approximately 5:01 a.m., the Vallejo Police Department (VPD) Patrol Division and the Vallejo Fire Department (VFD) responded to a reported traffic collision near the intersection of Jack London Drive and Susan Street.
Upon arrival, VPD officers located a heavily damaged vehicle in the northbound lane of Jack London Drive. The sole occupant was found unresponsive but breathing while seated in the driver's seat. VFD paramedics extricated the driver and transported him to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Preliminary investigation indicates the driver was traveling on Jack London Drive when their vehicle veered off course and collided with multiple unoccupied parked vehicles. No other injuries were reported during this collision.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be contributing factors in the collision.
On April 7, 2025, the Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division learned that the male driver succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision.
The identity of the deceased male is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff's Coroner's Office.
This incident marks Vallejo's third traffic-related fatality of 2025.
