Vallejo, CA- On October 1, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Vallejo Police Department's Traffic Division was contacted by the Napa County Sheriff's Office regarding a traffic collision that occurred in Vallejo on September 30. This incident, which took place near the intersection of Broadway Street and Mahogany Street, later resulted in a fatality. Since the incident occurred within Vallejo city limits, the Napa County Sheriff's Office referred the case to the Vallejo Police Department for investigation.
Based on the preliminary investigation, a vehicle was traveling near Mahogany Street and Broadway Street when a female known to the driver attempted to enter the vehicle while it was in motion. The female was unable to enter the vehicle and fell while the vehicle was still in motion. The driver stopped the vehicle, assisted the female back inside, and left the area without reporting the incident. The female declined medical treatment, and the two occupants returned to Napa County.
On October 1, the driver discovered the female was unresponsive at a residence in Napa County. The driver called 911 and requested emergency medical assistance. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel arrived at the residence and confirmed that the female was deceased at the residence. The Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division took over the investigation.
On October 2, 2025, an autopsy was conducted, which determined the female's cause of death was consistent with a motor vehicle accident.
This incident marks the ninth fatal traffic collision investigated by the Vallejo Police Department in 2025. These collisions have resulted in a total of twelve lives lost.
