Dear Friends,
In our work at VT Seva, we often talk about the "pillars of service." But today, I want to talk about the heartbeat of those pillars: the women in our rural communities.
Across the villages we serve, there is a recurring story. A mother wakes before sunrise to work in the fields, prepares meals for her children, and tends to her home until long after dark. She is the foundation of her family, yet, almost invariably, she is the last person to prioritize her own health. By the time a health issue becomes impossible to ignore, it is often too late.
But it doesn't have to be this way.
Cervical and breast cancers are highly preventable and often fully curable if caught early. This half year, VT Seva has set an ambitious goal: to provide free breast and cervical cancer screenings for 70,000 women.
We are bringing the clinic to their doorstep through our Mahila Arogya Vikas initiative. We are removing the barriers of cost, travel, and stigma. For just $5.17, you can cover the cost of a complete screening for one woman.
That $5.17 isn’t just a medical test; it is the gift of a mother seeing her child graduate, a grandmother watching her family grow, and a woman who has spent her entire life caring for others finally receiving the care she deserves.
I am requesting that you join me in this mission. Please visit https://www.vtsworld.org/healthcare to sponsor a screening. Whether you help one woman or twenty, your contribution acts as a bridge between a preventable tragedy and a life saved.
Thank you for helping us ensure that no mother has to sacrifice her future for her family’s daily survival.
With deep respect and gratitude,
Kiran

"Thanks for sharing the photos/videos. We are glad to serve the food to Netra kids at least one day, and always heard about the school from my son, but it got us emotional when we saw the actual kids. Celebrating our kids' birthdays by sharing a meal with these kids was an incredibly heart-touching experience. We are grateful to VTSEVA for facilitating this, and for the incredible work you are doing every day to help these kids is really amazing. I am glad that my son is part of this VTSEVA organization as well. Thank you so much!!"
