President's Note

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As I sit down to write this note, my heart swells with emotion. Today, we celebrate another year of VTSeva's journey, and I'm humbled by the incredible progress we've made together. None of this would be possible without the kindness and generosity of thousands of individuals who've supported us along the way.

I'm overwhelmed with pride seeing the determination of our kids at Nethra Vidyalaya for qualifying at the National Para Swimming competition and national representation in Goal Ball. The WSRO Special Jury award is a testament to their hard work and resilience.

But what touches my heart the most is the impact we've collectively made in the lives of Nethra Vidyalaya and Gurukulam children. 

Our Annual Events across multiple states have been a labor of love, empowering and educating these young minds. Every smile, every lesson learned, and every milestone achieved is a direct result of your kindness and support.

As a completely volunteer-driven organization, we're fueled by the passion and dedication of individuals who believe in our mission. Your selflessness inspires me every day. Together, we've made a difference, and I'm grateful for each one of you.

VT Seva High School clubs are a shining example of youth leadership in action. Through a wide range of activities in their schools and neighborhoods, students are making a meaningful difference in their communities. From service projects and awareness campaigns to creative initiatives that bring people together, these young changemakers demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and dedication. Beyond community impact, the clubs also serve as a platform for developing strong leadership skills, empowering board members to organize, inspire, and lead with purpose. Together, they embody the spirit of service as they prepare to become the leaders of tomorrow.

This month, we shine a spotlight on VT Seva’s High School club at Washtenaw International High School in Detroit. From leading impactful service projects in their school to extending their efforts into the neighborhood, these students are building a culture of compassion and action. Washtenaw International High School VTS Club truly reflects the spirit of service and leadership that VT Seva stands for.

Our talented swimmers from Nethra Vidyalaya made us proud at the 7th Andhra Pradesh State Para Swimming Championship 2025 in Eluru, showcasing outstanding skill and determination. Their success earned them the honor of representing Andhra Pradesh at the 25th National Para Swimming Competition, to be held from November 16-18, 2025, in Hyderabad. 8 of our students won 14 medals in the State Para Swimming Championship.

We’re delighted to share that Ajay has been selected for the Indian Goalball Team to represent India at the Youth Asian Games 2025 in Dubai! Equally inspiring, Sandhya has been shortlisted among the Top 10 players in the national pool!

Their journeys reflect how opportunity and determination can empower visually challenged youth to achieve greatness.

Nethra Vidyalaya students made their mark at the WSRO National Level Robotics Competition in Ahmedabad, competing in Balloon Car, Line Following, and a special project on Farming for the Visually Challenged. Among 40+ teams, their innovative and socially impactful project earned them the Special Jury Award, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and the inclusive spirit fostered at Nethra Vidyalaya.

In just one month, Nethra Vidyalaya and Tribal School students have shone in three major competitions, earning recognition at state and national levels through their talent, hard work, and perseverance. 

Across the nation, VT Seva branches are hosting annual events to support the education of these remarkable students. Each event is not just a celebration, but a chance to witness the power of compassion in action.

VT Seva Detroit is conducting their Annual Event - RAAS, VT Seva Cary is conducting their Annual Event - SADAYA, VT Seva Houston is conducting their Annual Event - A:LO:K, VT Seva Seattle is conducting their Annual Event - UTSAV, VT Seva Charlotte is conducting their Annual Event PRERANA & VT Seva Minneapolis is conducting TEJA in the upcoming months.

These events will bring together volunteers, supporters, and well-wishers in a grand celebration of VT Seva’s mission to empower underprivileged and visually impaired students. Please join these events to get inspired and serve the community!
