President's Note

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Our volunteers are the very heartbeat of VT Seva, driven purely by the desire to serve. While they never seek recognition, we were profoundly honored to be celebrated at the American South Asian Network’s Volunteer Excellence Spotlight Awards. This recognition, which celebrated five of our outstanding volunteers and included a cash grant for VT Seva, is a true testament to their passion and the strength of the communities we serve. Thank you for this amazing inspiration.

Making a Difference, Home and Abroad: This past month saw a flurry of activity as "VTSevaites" across the country, from Detroit and Atlanta to Seattle and the Bay Area, mobilized to conduct awareness and fundraising events for local causes successfully. It's truly amazing to see hundreds of volunteers making service a casual, core part of their lives.

On the global front, our students continue to shine. Hearty congratulations to the children at our Netra and Gurkulams who brought home numerous awards at the 14th Junior & Sub-Junior Para-Athletics competitions.

A Crucial Call for Continued Support: We now enter the final three months of the year, the most critical time for our non-profit. Our year-end annual events are vital for raising the necessary funds to empower children, conduct cancer awareness camps, and serve local neighborhoods.

To all our incredible donors: Thank you for being our strength. We're reaching out now to ask for your continued support to help us finish the year strong and serve even more causes in need.

Your support is our strength to serve.

With gratitude and hope,

Kiran

High School Club Spotlight

VT Seva High School Clubs are a shining example of youth leadership in action. Through a wide range of activities in their schools and neighborhoods, students are making a meaningful difference in their communities. From service projects and awareness campaigns to creative initiatives that bring people together, these young changemakers demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and dedication. Beyond community impact, the clubs also serve as a platform for developing strong leadership skills, empowering board members to organize, inspire, and lead with purpose. Together, they embody the spirit of service while preparing to become the leaders of tomorrow.

This month, we shine a spotlight on VT Seva’s High School Club at Troy International Academy East. From leading impactful service projects in their school to extending their efforts into the neighborhood, these students are building a culture of compassion and action. 14th Junior & Sub-Junior Para Athletics

Our students from Varija Nethra Vidyalaya School brought pride to the institution at the 14th Junior & Sub-Junior Para-Athletics Competition held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (Aug 29–31, 2025).

With outstanding performances in track, field, and jumps, the team of 15 athletes secured 22 medals - 🥇 5 Gold, 🥈 11 Silver, and 🥉 6 Bronze!

Highlights include K. Ravi and P. Santosh dominating the sprints, a sweep in Long Jump, and Sandhya excelling in Discus Throw and Shot Put.

These achievements were made possible through the dedication of our teachers, coaches, and the unwavering support of our donors. Every medal reflects not only the talent and hard work of our students but also the belief and encouragement of our well-wishers.

Together, let’s continue empowering visually challenged and underprivileged children to achieve their dreams.
