Starting Off the New Year Right

We finished 2022 strong with an amazing season of worship. Special music by the children and the Chancel choir really made the season. Our Advent series “From Generation to Generation” reminded us of the larger and longer story of God’s love. Christmas Eve crowds were almost back to pre-covid levels. Christmas falling on a Sunday gave us a special opportunity for worship. We had a good crowd to celebrate the birth of Christ. We had a great carol sing with Mike and wrapped up the service in a circle that joined the generations hand in hand.

ONLINE WORSHIP
We will start the new year with all the church worshipping together in the sanctuary at 11:00. As all of the adult Sunday school classes made the decision not to meet on New Year’s day, there will be no Sunday school. There will be a nursery for the service. Teresa and Jon continue our From Generation to Generation theme with Jesus being brought to the temple where Simeon and Anna are waiting.
 
You can’t have perfect attendance if you miss the first one, so see you at Vineville on the 1st @11:00!
YEAR END GIVING
The days left in 2022 are few. Like the calendar, there are just a few days left in our fiscal year at Vineville. We have one last chance to take a look at our giving. Have you given what you intended this year? Have you been blessed in ways that make it possible for you to bless others through the ministry of Vineville?
 
This year we are preparing to make a change in financial software. We will close the books of 2022 on January 9th. Please get any remaining 2022 gifts to the church before then. Thank you for your continued support. Your faithfulness makes the life-changing ministry of the church possible. Thank you!
