Wesley Glen
While members of the Wesley Glen community were away visiting family for Christmas, the Grinch tried to steal the spirit of Christmas by flooding their home. This house is called the Vineville House, and one of the residents is a member of our Vineville church family. Almost everything these 4 men own was soaked, and their home was unliveable. On Tuesday, December 27, I sent out a call for help, and 14 Vineville folks showed up and showed out! They went to work! Thank you for interrupting vacation, work, and your afternoon plans to come to the rescue! You were the wet hands and feet of Christ caring for those in need who couldn’t care for themselves.
Day Break
During the week between Christmas and New Years, it is harder for the homeless to find a meal in Macon. Many agencies shut down to give their staff and volunteers a break. Vineville stepped in to help bridge the gap. We provided pizza, Cutie oranges, and cupcakes for a holiday feast. Thanks to Ken and Ann Hall who led this project. The clients who benefited from the meal were thrilled!
Christmas in Pleasantville
Again this year, we offered the church the opportunity to make gifts to local missions in honor of people on their shopping lists. Like many of you, we shared the cards that told the story of ministries we partner with in this community. These gifts will make a difference in our immediate neighborhood. You gave over $3,000 to support these worthy causes! Thank you!
Christmas Eve Offering
On Christmas Eve we received over $1,500 in loose plate offerings. It has been our tradition for many years to give these funds to missions. This is yet another way you support local mission projects and agencies.

What a season of generosity! I love our church! You are amazing!!!

Peace,

For three weeks, we will be studying Henri Nouwen’s short book and exploring ways Christians can lead in our own spheres of influence. We will conveniently meet during the children’s choir rehearsal from January 18 - February 1 from 6 pm-7 pm in the conference room of the office suite.
