The Value of Education with Dr. Clair Berube '83

Register today to hear from Dr. Clair Berube, VWU Assistant Professor of Education and Class of 1983. Dr. Berube has a deep love for science, the psychology of how people learn, and social justice topics within education. Her research has centered around urban schools, the effects of high stakes testing on learning, and gender and race in STEM education and problem-based learning. She will be speaking about the value of education and offering tips for remote learning during COVID-19.

Record Setting ODAC Swimming Championships

The Virginia Wesleyan University men's and women's swim teams wrapped up the 2021 ODAC Championship meet with the men finishing 6th (167 Pts.) and the women 5th (204.40 Pts.). Six school records went down as the Marlins swam fast times in the Liberty Natatorium.

The Marlin to Marlin Mentoring Program is designed to cultivate meaningful mentor/mentee relationships between alumni who have completed an experiential learning opportunity. The mentoring relationships are meant to provide support and guidance to current students and foster productive conversations about the process. Fill out our volunteer form to express your interest.

Recommend a Future Marlin

Students whom you refer and enroll will receive a $1,000 annual grant applicable to tuition. Their award will be renewable through four years of study, assuming satisfactory academic progress toward their degree. The award will be bestowed in your name, in recognition of your contribution to the enrollment process.

Dr. Richard Rosenblum, a longtime supporter of VWU athletics and men's basketball, recently surprised Men's Basketball Head Coach Dave Macedo and his family with the dual naming of the men's basketball office suite: The Macedo and Rosenblum Family Suite.
Hofheimer Theatre

Although Hofheimer Theatre is currently being used as classroom to allow for proper social distancing, its renovation is still looking great! Our sincere thanks to the Hofheimer family for supporting this special project.
