Congratulations on a truly special weekend!

The pointe shoe decorating party was a blast with incredible creativity! The Barbie In The Nutcracker community event brought so many youngsters out and our dancers' interactions were priceless. And the visit to the Castle Peak Senior Center was so special for the residents and our dancers. We are so proud of our dancers who represented VYBC and VFOD with grace, patience and kindness at both of these events!! Thank you!

Nutcracker Flower Orders Due Dec. 4th, click here to order. Pre-ordered flower bouquets created by Flower Hound are $40 and available at each performance for pick up by the end of intermission.

2025-26 Silent Auction Items Needed by Nov. 22

Silent Auction Information & Receipt - Items due this weekend - November 22 Please notify Jill Chalfant as you collect auction items. There is an "auction box" to collect items in Ms. Ashley's office by the mirror/closet. Please drop all items off there with the silent auction receipt form completed in full.

If you do have items coming after Nov. 22, please let Jill know so she can plan for those items.

NEW - The Silent Auction will be available via an ONLINE platform this year, making it available to a larger audience (vs. those just attending the performances) to bid on items. Bidding will be open Wed - Saturday night. More details to come!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES - PLEASE SIGN UP!

Poster Hanging/Concierge Visits - We still need posters hung in Vail and Avon/Beaver Creek as soon as possible to help spread the word! Meggen will coordinate getting the posters to you.

Nutcracker Bake Sale Goods Sign-up - The "Land of Sweets" Bake Sale is a much-loved tradition at the performances, and your donations of quality goods help raise money and support our dancers. Plus, receive 1 hour of volunteer time for every dozen baked goods or case of water supplied. More details are in the Sign-Up.

We have a few needs still! Each VYBC Family is required to work during one dress rehearsal or performance either back-of-the-house or front-of-the-house. Thank you for ensuring our productions are a success!

Prop/Set Load In, Tuesday, Dec. 9th - 9:30am - 11:30am and 12:00pm - 3:00pm

Tech Rehearsal, Wednesday, Dec. 10: 3:45pm - 9:00pm various shifts

Dress Rehearsal, Thursday, Dec. 11: 3:45pm - 9:00pm various shifts

Stars Performances, Friday, Dec. 12: 8:30am - 2:00pm shifts & snacks needed

Friday, Dec. 12 Evening Performance: 5:30pm - 9:45pm shifts

Saturday, Dec. 13 Matinee Performance: 11:30am - 4:30pm shifts

Saturday, December 16 Evening Performance: 5:30pm - 9:45pm shifts

Parents, be sure to track your volunteer hours on a regular basis!

UPCOMING COMMUNITY OUTREACH REMINDERS

Dancer's participating in the Ritz-Carlton pop-up and/or STARS Performance, please note the added rehearsal on Tuesday, Nov. 18th.

Nutcracker Pop-Up Performance at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch,
Saturday, Nov. 29, 3:30pm - 5:30pm

We will perform excerpts from the Nutcracker as part of the Tree Lighting Festivities, with photos and meet & great opportunity after the performance. We will meet at the hotel at 3:30pm to get in costume and warm up, with the show taking place from 4:30pm - 5pm.

STARS Nutcracker Performance at Vilar

Friday, Dec. 12, 8:30am - 1:30pm

Dancers will perform for local area school students at two performances at 10:00am and 12:30pm. Call time is 8:30am. Performances run 45-minutes and participating dancers must attend both shows. Healthy snacks to be provided between shows. Dancers should leave after/before the evening shows' call time.
