VACATION RENTAL BUSINESS INFORMATION
Cleaning a vacation rental is no small task , even when we are not faced with a global pandemic. A housekeeper is expected to take a property that is in disarray from departing guests and completely reset it—eradicating the microbes that have been left behind in the property and creating a like-new experience for arriving guests. Vacation rental professionals understand that cleaning a property effectively requires specific training, appropriate supplies, and a systematic process.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP) and the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) are recommending that existing cleaning programs be augmented to include even more rigorous sanitization and disinfection protocols.

AVAILABLE WEBINARS

RETAIL SPECIFIC DE-ESCALATION WEBINARS

MRA is sponsoring webinars to help you and your employees deal with belligerent customers who don’t want to follow your store guidelines, such as wearing facemasks. We have hired Keene Training to conduct the seminars; the company has years of experience training the private sector in dealing with crisis situations. All their trainers are current or former law enforcement officers. We’re offering the following themed webinars (sorry, no recordings available):

  • 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17 - techniques for spotting and dealing with potentially dangerous customers
  • 2 p.m. Monday, June 22 - learn how to de-escalate tense situations with customers
  • 2 p.m. Thursday, June 25 - a repeat of one of the above themes, whichever is more popular

If you’d like to participate in one of these webinars, email Meegan Holland at  mholland@retailers.com .

WHERE CAN BUSINESSES FIND LOCAL
PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT (PPE)?

As businesses begin to reopen, employees are encouraged to get a COVID-19 test if they are at risk of exposure. This includes employees who are in contact with the public or work in industries that have seen outbreaks, such as farming, food processing, animal industries, etc., even if the employee does not have symptoms. Increased testing will help determine where the virus is so we can stop it before it spreads and safely re-engage the economy.

Testing is NOT required for employees to return to work. Testing WILL help us keep workplaces safer by stopping the spread.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

We encourage you to continually visit our  WEBSITE as we now have
