Fellow MICA Parents,

We are so excited to welcome you and your student to campus in a few weeks! In order for our students to return to campus safely, we must ensure that every student is vaccinated against COVID-19 or has submitted the appropriate documentation otherwise. As a concerned parent myself, I ask that you please read the important message below so that we can achieve the level of health and safety that we are aiming for this fall.

I look forward to meeting you all this semester.

Thanks,
Liza Sanchez P’22
Parents Council Chair

Dear Parents,

As you are aware, MICA is requiring that all students be vaccinated against COVID-19 for the Fall 2021 semester or have an approved exemption to that requirement. Having a highly vaccinated campus is critical not only for everyone's individual health, but also the overall wellbeing of our community. The deadline to be in compliance with this policy is Wednesday, August 18th. Students who are not in compliance after that date will have their access to campus denied.

If you have not already, please ask your student if they are in compliance and have uploaded the necessary documentation. We know how excited students and families are to return to MICA this Fall, and we do not want a lack of compliance with this policy to prohibit that return. If your student is not certain of their status, they can check by logging into their health portal, which is accessible through our Student Health Services webpage.

Those students who are currently not compliant have received multiple messages from the Office of Student Affairs to both their MICA and home email addresses, so if your student is non currently in compliance please ask them to check for information regarding what to do. Any and all questions related to the vaccine requirement and uploading documentation can be sent to Student Health Services at healthservices@mica.edu.
