Vaccine Advocacy - What You Need to Know

The FAFP continues to advocate at both the state and national levels for vaccine adherence to protect all Floridians. Updates will be provided as the FAFP continues to oppose the Florida Department of Health's recently recommended rule changes to vaccines for school aged children. In addition, please take advantage of these important resources from our colleagues at the AAFP:

Register Now—Stand-Alone, Virtual KSA: Musculoskeletal

Register now for the stand-alone FAFP Virtual ABFM KSA Study Group: Musculoskeletal that will be presented via Zoom on Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 6:30pm-9:00pm ET. Fulfill your ABFM MOC requirements and CLICK HERE to register today. The registration deadline is Monday, October 12, 2026 at 11:59pm ET.

You will earn 10 certification points and 8 enduring (not live) CME credits after successful completion of the KSA; ABFM will award these certification points and enduring CME credits.

Save the Date for Summit: 2026 FAFP Annual Meeting

Online registration and the hotel room block for Summit: 2026 FAFP Family Medicine Annual Meeting will be opening the 3rd week of September! Summit 2026 is scheduled for December 10-13 at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, and will be presented as a hybrid event, giving attendees the option to register for either In-Person attendance or remote, Virtual attendance hosted via live streaming.

Asthma Roundtable Dinner

You are invited to an Open Forum Discussion on how to optimize the Management of Asthma through improved use of evidence-based disease management recommendations and a discussion of practical strategies to implement guideline-directed anti-inflammatory rescue (AIR) therapy.

The objective of the open forum program is to provide a venue for a discussion of best practices for implementation of ideas and sharing successful outcomes amongst Primary Care Practitioner peers. This is not intended to be didactic, but to allow for a free-flowing discussion of ideas/views.

The focus of the best practice conversation will be to identify and help address gaps to providing evidence-based disease management recommendations through best practice sharing and discuss solutions, including how to identify at-risk patients with asthma.
