State-Supplied Flu Vaccines
2022-2023 State-Supplied Flu Vaccines
  • All administered vaccines, including state-supplied flu, must be reported to the Immunization Registry/MIIS.
  • All state-supplied flu vaccines will expire by June 30, 2023. Once expired, process a "Storage/Handling Issue" in the MIIS and return expired doses to McKesson.

2023-2024 State-Supplied Flu Vaccines
  • There is no pre-ordering or pre-booking for the 2023-2024 state-supplied flu vaccine.
  • Your practice's flu allocation/ceiling limit will be based on administered doses reported to the MIIS throughout the 2022-2023 flu season.
  • An email regarding flu vaccine allocation/ceiling limit will be sent out in early August 2023. The email will come from dph-vaccine-management@mass.gov.

  • Please Note: Any provider site placing a Flu order between now and June 30 will receive vaccines for the flu season 2022-2023.

Return of Ecoflex Coolers
The Ecoflex coolers, in which you receive your state-supplied vaccines, need to be returned to Cold Chain Technologies. Please DO NOT CALL McKesson or UPS to schedule a pickup. A prepaid UPS return label is included on the inner flap of each EcoFlex cooler shipped. Please return the coolers via UPS, by giving it to a UPS driver the next time they are in your office or drop off at a UPS drop-box or store.

Helpful Reminders
Always include PIN/Site Number, name and phone number in all correspondence with the Vaccine Unit

Upload Temperature Logs Monthly. All Temperature logs must be uploaded monthly to ensure all temp data is being captured. If there is missing temperature log information, the Vaccine Management Unit cannot be confident that temperatures have remained in range. This may result in loss of vaccine and restitution to the state.

If you need assistance or have questions, please contact the Vaccine Management Unit at 617-983-6828.
