2025 Vaccine Program Re-Enrollment

All sites receiving state-supplied vaccines are required to re-enroll annually to continue to receive state-supplied vaccines. 2025 Vaccine Program re-enrollment is scheduled to begin on January 20th and run until February 28th. All re-enrollment submissions must be completed/submitted in the MIIS. Additional information regarding the 2025 Vaccine Program re-enrollment will be sent out in the coming days.

  • Sites that do not re-enroll before February 28th will not be able to continue to order state-supplied vaccines.
  • All 2025 enrollment documents (Guidelines for Compliance, Agreement to Comply, SOP documents, etc.) are now available on the Vaccine Management website.
  • The updated 2025 Storage and Handling Webinar Training will be available to watch in the coming weeks in the Casetivity Portal. It is required that all Vaccine Coordinators take the updated 2025 Storage and Handling Webinar Training before re-enrolling in the Vaccine Program.

Td Availability Change

As of January 1st, 2025, Td vaccine is no longer permitted to be administered to all patients in a universal capacity (regardless of age and/or insurance status) and is only permitted to be administered to pediatric patients (aged 18 or younger) or uninsured/underinsured adult patients (19 and older) seen at public provider sites (LBOH, CHC, jails, etc).

Sites with UMass Biologics Td vaccine in inventory past January 1st, 2025 can continue to utilize that product in a universal capacity until its expiration in February. Any Td vaccines received on or after January 1st, 2025 will need to used in accordance to the new non-universal guidelines described above.

Tenivac (Sanofi), will be the only state-supplied Td vaccine available for order in the MIIS. Private providers currently enrolled as adult-only sites to receive and administer Td vaccine to adult patients, will need to transition to privately purchased Tdap and/or in rare cases Td to continue to ensure Td/Tdap availability for their patient population.

SmartView Digital Data Loggers

If installed and functional, the SmartView Digital Data Loggers must act as the primary data logger device for their associated storage units. Fridge Tag-2L temperature logs will no longer be accepted if your site has transitioned to a SmartView device. Please remove the Fridge Tag-2L data logger from the outside of the storage unit and only utilize them in a backup capacity. It is best practice to keep the glycol bottles in the storage units so they will be conditioned if needed for vaccine transports.

Friendly Reminders

  • When submitting Merck packing slips (ProQuad/Varivax), ensure the shipped quantity is equal to the order quantity for both the vaccine and diluent (may be more than a single packing slip). All sites must initial and date every packing slip received.
  • Refer to the Vaccine Management Contact List and Stability Calculator reference page for updated phone numbers and websites for vaccine manufacturers. Ensure that any staff member responsible for following up on vaccine viability post-temperature excursion has access to this information.
  • All sites must regularly check the new Message Center located in the MIIS, so they don't miss any important communications from the Immunization Division.
  • Always include PIN/Site Number, name and phone number when contacting the Vaccine Management Unit.
