Dear TPB Community,

In light of the recent developments in the Covid-19 pandemic, TPB has made the decision to require all eligible dancers age 12+ up to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in order to participate in our in-person programming. We will continue to require that everyone who enters TPB wear a mask at all times.

Given the fact that we provide classes for ages 3+, including many who are ineligible to be vaccinated at this time, it is our responsibility to do everything we can to keep them as healthy as possible by requiring vaccinations of our entire eligible staff and student body beginning Monday, August 30.

Dancers age 12+ must present proof of vaccination prior to participating in any class, unless a verified exemption can be made based on medical or sincerely held religious beliefs in which case reasonable accommodations will be made.

Dancers age 12+ who are not fully vaccinated and/or choose not to provide vaccine status, and do not have a verified exemption, will have the option of continuing classes virtually.

Dancers 11 years old and younger are not required to be vaccinated in order to participate in in-person classes; however, once a vaccine is available for their age group, dancers will be required to be vaccinated and provide proof in order to continue class participation in-person.

Thank you for your support as we continue to address the challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic. Our goal is to keep all of our community safe, healthy, and dancing.

With our utmost gratitude,

The Portland Ballet
