In August, Merck announced increases to the catalog pricing on most of the vaccines in their portfolio. Please remember that CPP Buying Group members have 90 days advanced notice, so this new pricing doesn’t go into effect until November 10, 2022. Updated pricing sheets were sent out to all buying group members last week. If you missed them, please contact the CPP office at [email protected].

The CDC has published their recommendation for pediatric pneumococcal vaccination, which includes either Prevnar 13 (PCV13) or Merck’s Vaxneuvance (PCV15). This will signal the insurance companies to begin paying for Vaxneuvance when administered to patients at 2, 4, 6, and 12-15 months. We recommend reaching out to your major payers to make sure adequate payment is in place before incorporating a new vaccine into your schedule. The CPT code for Vaxneuvance (PCV15) is 90671.
