New Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine
The CDC has published their recommendation for pediatric pneumococcal vaccination, which includes either Prevnar 13 (PCV13) or Merck’s Vaxneuvance (PCV15). This will signal the insurance companies to begin paying for Vaxneuvance when administered to patient
s at 2, 4, 6, and 12-15 months. We recommend reaching out to your major payers to make sure adequate payment is in place before incorporating a new vaccine into your schedule. The CPT code for Vaxneuvance (PCV15) is 90671.
CPP buying group members will have access to discounts on both Prevnar 13 and Vaxneuvance through our partnerships with Pfizer and Merck. If you have questions about the pricing and which option might make the most sense for your practice, please contact the CPP team and we can help with a financial analysis and make sure you are linked to the appropriate discounts to maximize your savings opportunities.
Discontinued Vaccines
Merck's Gardasil 9 Vials and Sanofi's Menactra, DT and Imogam have been removed from the Pricing Sheets.
