Spa Grand Opening 

The Grand Opening of the Spa is set for Wednesday, October 10^th. If you haven’t checked out the new services provided by our new Spa vendor As You Like It, please stop by and take a look.

Board Meeting – Thursday, October 12, 2023

The Board will be holding an additional Board meeting this coming week on October 12th at 1 p.m. in the Social Hall. A Zoom link will be provided before the meeting. There will only be one agenda item discussed –Landscaping Services Contract.

Cable Provider Town Hall Meeting – October 17, 2023

Just a reminder about our upcoming Cable Provider Town Hall Meeting. It will be on October 17^th at 1 p.m. in the Social Hall and will be available on Zoom. Additional Information will be forthcoming.

Amendment Town Hall Meeting

Thanks to all who participated either in person or via Zoom for the second Town Hall Presentation on the 3 Community-wide Amendments & and 1 Villa Insurance Amendment. We hope that this second presentation made these amendments more understandable and showed how crucial they are to the future of the community. The last day to vote will be October 26^th @ 1 p.m.

We encourage all owners to review the details of each Amendment to gain an understanding of how each will benefit the community and we ask everyone to please Vote.

Should you need assistance with Voting, please contact Resident Services. Proxies can be dropped off there and you can also obtain a copy if you need one.

Parking:

• Please be aware of the rules with regard to parking in the community.
• Parking shall be permitted only on driveways, inside garages, or in areas specifically designated as 'parking areas' by the Association.
• No parking on the streets or swales is permitted.
• Please familiarize yourselves with the rules by clicking the button at the bottom of this email.

INSURANCE COMMITTEE UPDATE

The insurance committee is looking for volunteers. If you have a specific skill set in this area - HOA real estate - then they would like to hear from you. Please send a short email to Michael Krassner expressing your interest and please include a brief bio together with your previous experience.

CLUBHOUSE UPDATES

• This upcoming week is a week of celebrations.
• On Monday, October 9, we celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving, so Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends and neighbors.
• Columbus Day is observed on the second Monday in October.
• It was on October 12, 1492, that Christopher Columbus landed on a small island in the Bahamas, convinced that he had reached Asia. 
• Indigenous Peoples’ Day is a US holiday that celebrates the history and cultures of indigenous peoples native to what is today the United States.
• Indigenous Peoples’ Day is celebrated in cities and states across the country, often celebrated with, or instead of Columbus Day.
• Let us enjoy this triple celebration on Monday and hopefully an added bonus celebration of a much needed first cold front of the season for SWFL.

GYM UPDATE

NEW! Exciting news, just confirmed. The new cardio equipment will be installed in the gym on Thursday, October 12th. The gym will be CLOSED on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 pm.



Note: No one will be allowed in the Fitness Center while the vendor is installing and moving things around. This includes all Staff and Board members.  For everyone’s safety, only the onsite contractor will be permitted in the room until installation is complete. We must insist only our team be in the room until all is completed. 

VALENCIA BONITA FITNESS PROGRAM

Join me in the social hall for a 'Spooktacular Monster Mash Up', a Halloween special of Michelle's Merengue & More. All are invited, regardless of ability level. Fun and fitness at the same time.

NOTE - time change for October - 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Halloween attire is encouraged. This is a FREE class and is not part of the fitness memberships.

We are aware of the numerous issues with the back resident gate. We need a new reader. As we are not committed to a future with Ramco we are waiting to make the necessary improvements until we determine if we are moving forward with a new provider. Next week we will provide a more detailed security update.
