Our newly renovated Griset gymnasium in Encinitas is back in business! With brand new everything: ceiling, floors, paint, and that "new gym smell", our facility updates are off to a great start!

Help us Raise the Roof

We have an urgent need to upgrade all three of our gymnasium and Clubhouse roofs. Our current roofs are original, some dating back as early as 1969, and they are all in desperate need of repairs.

Million Dollar Round Table Gives Our Club Some Love

A BIG Thank you to Million Dollar Round Table! Members awarded funds and volunteered for a community service project, resulting in a clean, updated look for the front of our Griset Clubhouse as well as financial support for our overall organization!

Homework Buddies

Teens at our Griset Clubhouse are always positive role models for our younger members. Now, those teens have the opportunity to share their knowledge and study tips with our younger members. 

Ukelele Lessons for Polster

The past few weeks, in partnership with our Youth Arts Academy instructors, 20 of our Polster Clubhouse members have been engaging is ukelele lessons.

Thanks to a grant from Classics for Kids Foundation this eight-week program stimulates both hearts and minds!

Our Del Mar Clubhouse: A Home Away from Home

As proof positive of how integrated Boys & Girls Clubs is in the lives of the youth we serve, Del Mar Clubhouse member Mithran and his entire family chose to celebrate his birthday at our Club!

Our Carmel Valley Montessori celebrated Lunar New Year.

Parents came and spoke about their family traditions, while students

were able to partake in teacher provided chow mein...yum!

It is always fun for the kids to get his autograph and hold his gold medals.

Leadership with Lezak

Olympian Jason Lezak visited our RSD Swim team youth for the fourth time on Sunday, February 5th.

With over 40 youth in attendance, Lezak hosted two sessions: the first, for 12 and unders, and the second, for 13 and overs.

Both sessions included Lezak discussing his Olympic journey as

well as pool instruction focusing on technique. 

Learning to Love the Water!

Our adult swim lesson launch was a huge success. The session ended with several of our adult members getting their feet wet by diving off the starting blocks, and many are transitioning into regular lap swimmers at our pool.

Pardee Aquatics Center

Join our Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team in raising funds for our aquatics facilities while challenging their personal bests and fostering their competitive drive and love of swim.

Cooking with our After-School Program

January's menu included ham and cheese scones, egg omelets with veggies

from the garden, broccoli perogies, French sable cookies, homemade tortillas,

and quesadillas.

Upcoming President's Day Cooking Camp

Ages 8-12

February 21, 22, 23 & 24

Each child chops, preps, grates, pours, stirs and creates every part of the recipe. The class features lots of recipes with fresh vegetables, knife skills, kitchen safety, and nutrition.

February Musicians of the Month

Every month this year, we will be featuring four Musicians of the Month! Each music instructor will select one student to be their Musician. The instructor might choose a student for numerous reasons: because they have made significant progress, hard work and dedication, they have achieved a goal, because they consistently complete their homework, or another reason!

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, and performed at our Club Night last month! It was so wonderful to see our bands perform for a live audience for the first time! Congratulations to WIPEOUT for winning the contest!

Bulldogs Full Court Press

With a total of 26 teams, our Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs are looking forward to a great season on and off the court!

Snuffy, off and Running

We are off and running with 61 teams in our SNUFFY/Fastbreak league from January 14-March 4th.

Games take place at all three locations each weekend. Over the course of the season more than 600 local youth will play in 217 games in just seven weeks time!

Middle School Sports

Our winter sports season wraps up this month. With Running Club, Boys Basketball & Girls Field Hockey, the season has been full of fun!

With 120 golfers, the serenity that only Rancho Santa Fe Golf Course can offer, and a good-natured, charitable spirit that truly set a positive vibe, the event netted over $130,000. Net proceeds from our Tournament go toward bridging the gap between the nominal fees we charge and the real cost of our programs and services as well as our financial assistance program.

Our Mission: Boys & Girls Clubs of San Dieguito is an organization dedicated to providing POSITIVE activities to develop the education, health, self-esteem and character of youth.
