Join me and a small group of travelers to see this beautiful city through the eyes of people who live, breathe, and love its history and treasures. Because I have lived in Florence and speak Italian, you will experience a side of Tuscany most visitors never see.
Meet Fabrizio Gori, restaurateur, philosopher and historian, who will decode Brunelleschi's elegant Santo Spirito. Who still chuckles at anecdotes of the practical jokes of the artists that worked and socialized in the neighborhood where his restaurant, Osteria Toscanella, is found.
"You are in for a feast of the senses. When you travel to Florence with Marsha, you are going with someone who is at ease with the language and the labyrinthine streets, and whose connections there are like her family and so you are warmly welcomed into their lives. Her high card is the fabulous Fabrizio Gori, whose unusual insights on art, architecture, history and culture in Florence are belied by his gentle, wry tone. Did I mention his restaurant is one of the best in the city?”

Accommodations in Florence
We stay in the residential Oltrarno Quarter of Florence, in comfortable and quiet apartments on the 14th century via dei Velluti, only five minutes from the Ponte Vecchio and downtown Florence.

All tour itineraries are customized based on participants requests and my discernment. No two are alike. Plus, the small size of our group allows for flexibility because of weather and other contingencies.
Some highlights include:
Wind your way up out of Florence to the lovely hilltop village of Fiesole where Etruscans built a singular and highly evolved civilization based on the very sane principal "healthy body, Healthy mind".
Palazzo Davanzati is a rare example of a medieval townhouse completely renovated as it looked in 1350.
See the some of the greatest painting and sculpture of Western art and soak up the majesty of these great artists achievements.

"If you'd like to find yourself surrounded by extraordinary art, mesmerized by historical sites (some dating back to Roman and Etruscan times), and all the while enjoying delicious Italian food and wines, join Marsha on her tour of Florence. Each day brought a new delight. The trip exceeded our dreams."
