Welcome our newest S4 Trainer, Charlie Meyer!
Charlie will be taking on the duties of initially working with the younger kids, while I will continue to work with high school and college kids. I will tell you this—Charlie has more skill in his pinky than I ever had! He also has such a fantastic personality while being very disciplined — (Parents of current S4 students—Grady is sending out more details on this to you today).
This is NOT NEW—I have had 6 S4 Trainers over the last 16 years of this program. I always have, and will continue to work with our S4 Trainers to continue my training methods—and will work with those trainers to go over every current clients specific skillsets and future training needs. My goal is to add more S4 Trainers as our program continues to grow! This will bring the relief I need to work more manegable hours, and will also allow me to have a bigger focus on improving and growing Wiefit and our S4 program for a better experience for all. Read below to learn a little about Charlie!
Charlie is a hard-working and dedicated soccer player who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a love for the game to every session. As a teenage athlete with years of competitive experience, he has developed strong technical skills and a deep understanding of the sport. His journey in soccer began when he was just 4 years old starting with programs such as the YMCA Recreational program, HappyFeet & Legends Soccer, and finding his home with Fusion FC NKY Soccer Club since joining in 2017. Charlie continues to play for them 9 years later in an upper age bracket (U19) and serves as a mid-fielder for his team.
In addition to playing with Fusion FC NKY, Charlie also played for Covington Catholic High School as a freshman where he was awarded the 2023 Freshman Most Valuable Player. After facing a series of injuries that temporarily sidelined him from the sport, Charlie demonstrated resilience and determination in his recovery making it back to the pitch this past year. Charlie will be a Senior at Covington Catholic next year.
A true multi-sport athlete, Charlie has also trained in martial arts for 9 years earning the rank of Sr. Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) and 1st Degree Brown Belt in Adult Ranks. He was recognized and promoted to a Leadership Team Member (Level II) guiding younger children, peers, and even adults in martial arts techniques and sparring.
When Charlie is not on the soccer field, he is focused on his academics, taking honors and advanced classes while maintaining a 4.11 GPA at Covington Catholic High School. His commitment to excellence in the classroom mirrors his dedication on the field, showing his ability to balance athletics and academics with discipline and drive.
His journey with Wiefit S4 Training began as a player, where he honed his abilities through focused skill development. Charlie comes from a soccer family who has also trained at Wiefit S4, initially training with his older brother, Ben, who played soccer for Covington Catholic for 4 years (2025 State Runner-Up team) and his younger sister, Elizabeth, who plays for St. Henry Distric High School as a freshman on their Junior Varsity team and continues her training at Wieft.
Now stepping into his new role as a S4-Soccer Skills Trainer, Charlie aims to share the techniques, mindset, and work ethic that elevated his own game, helping young athletes build confidence, refine their skills, and reach their full potential. His goal is to inspire others to work hard, stay positive, and enjoy every moment of the game.
