1. Consider Your Impact: Avoid unnecessary packaging and gift wrap, choose long-lasting gifts, always recycle and compost, reuse decor. You can always find holiday decor at thrift stores!
2. Buy Responsibly: Opt for fair trade chocolate, think locally and shop small, ethically sourced gifts, sustainable wine and chamapagne. Look for certifications on the bottle- ex. SIP, LODI Rules, salmon safe, and LEED
3. Get Creative: Bake your own sweets, craft a recycled valentine, give the gift of an experience, plan an activity together, send some love to your favorite nonprofit. To find a nonprofit or give a donation visit givenebraska.org

Lincoln Food System Survey

Lincoln Nebraska logo

As part of a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the City of Lincoln will be preparing a Master Food System Plan. This plan will help Lincoln set priorities for supporting and strengthening our local food system and can include anything and everything from how food is grown to how it is transported, processed, purchased/donated, accessed, and consumed.

To build a strong local food system, Lincoln needs a roadmap to guide the process. We need to know where and how to invest time, resources, and partnerships to best support a vibrant local food economy.

Your answers to this survey are important and will make sure the Food System Plan addresses community needs and priorities.

Please complete the survey by February 15th. If you have any questions, please contact Frank Uhlarik, Sustainability and Compliance Administrator; City of Lincoln Transportation and Utilities: 402-441-7588 or [email protected].
