Valero Benicia Refinery Hosts 11th Annual Sporting Clays Invitational

On September 20th, the Valero Benicia Refinery proudly hosted our 11th annual Sporting Clays Invitational, bringing together over 100 volunteers from Valero, the Benicia Community Action Council (BCAC), and Rebuilding Together Solano County (RTSC). Thanks to their efforts and the generous support of all event sponsors, this fundraiser raised $156,000 – a record-breaking achievement in support of BCAC and RTSC. For over 11 years, the Valero Benicia Refinery has hosted this unique fundraiser as part of our commitment to investing $2.4MM annually in San Francisco Bay Area non-profits.

Valero Benicia Refinery participates in the 45th Anniversary of the Benicia – Tula Sister City Association

On July 2, 1979, the cities of Benicia, California, and Tula de Allende, Hidalgo, Mexico joined the Sister Cities International that was created at President Eisenhower’s 1956 White House conference on citizen diplomacy. At that time, President Eisenhower envisioned an organization that could be a champion for peace and prosperity by fostering bonds between people from different communities around the world. The Benicia refinery has been a proud sponsor and partner of the Association and recently attended this year’s celebration.
