Valero and City of Benicia sign Collaboration Agreement

Valero and City of Benicia Collaboration Agreement to Fund Public Safety Resources

We are pleased to announce that the City of Benicia and Valero have signed a Collaboration Agreement. The Collaboration Agreement will fund additional public safety resources for the city and make additional information and reports available to the public. As directed by Benicia City Council in November of last year, this agreement demonstrates months of communication and collaborative efforts between Valero and city staff. We look forward to continuing to work together with the City of Benicia.

GIRL C-STEM Camp

The Valero Benicia Refinery is a proud sponsor of the Girls in Robotics Leadership (GIRL) C-STEM Camp. In partnership with Solano Office of Education, UC Davis, the C-STEM Center and the UC Davis College of Engineering, the camp provides an amazing opportunity to young women in Benicia with a focus on learning leadership and STEM concepts through a robotics-based curriculum.

This year's camp will be at the Benicia Makerspace - 4592 E. 2nd St., Suites O&P from June 24-28, 2019.

Benicia STEAM Discovery Festival

Over 500 people participated in the STEAM Discovery Festival 2019. Beyond all the stories that we have heard of the wonderful encounters our attendees had with exhibitors and volunteers, you could see the impact in the wide eyes of the many people that attended the festival. Without support and long hours of dedication, this event would not have been possible. We have no doubt that many of the young attendees will grow up to be our future engineers, scientists, educators, makers and leaders in our community!
