On the Line with the V-41

We pride ourselves on making sure that every owner has the freedom to build the boat of their dreams, offering unprecedented flexibility in a semi-custom center console. Case in point: A diehard fisherman, the owner of this Valhalla 41 – hull No. 88 – went without any forward seating, choosing to maximize deck space and increase fishability with a completely open foredeck.

When it comes to propulsion, the V-41 offers multiple engine configurations with the latest and greatest outboards from Mercury and Yamaha, including the new V10 400-hp Verados from Mercury (available in triples or quads).

In every stage of the build process, we have experts working on your boat. Above: Lead Electrical Technician Chris Albertson works on rigging the engine harness in the console of a V-41 – hull No. 90. He’s installing the Mercury Lanyard Stop Switch (the “kill switch”), an on-board safety device designed to shut off the boat's engine if the driver moves away from operating position. Chris carries out his work on the manufacturing floor before the console is put into the hull. This optimizes building efficiency.

Inside the hull of No. 90, Electrician Enmanuel Martinez is busy completing the installation of the house and engine batteries that will be located inside the console. After crimping the terminal to the battery cable with a special tool, Emmanuel protects the connection with heat-shrink tubing.

On another V-41, Exterior Trim Leadman Antonio Gonzalez (yellow shirt) and Installer Jonathan Lopez have spent the day installing the hardtop frame, hardtop and the console’s glass enclosure. The curved structure is secured to the console and the hardtop with urethane adhesive. The special material has already been applied, and now the duo is tidying up the area, removing excess adhesive.

We leave you with a couple shots of the V-41 Kingfisher, which sports a two-tone hull, marlin tower, aft fillet table and host of other accessories and enhancements – including molded-in U-shaped forward seating. In addition to this bow seating option (shown below), V-41 owners can also get port and starboard seating – with or without a fiberglass insert to create a U-shaped lounge.
