Valiant Living for God!
God desires to raise up a people who aren’t solely concerned with making a living or are consumed with owning a nice house, driving a nice car, living for their next vacation or enamored with creature comforts. No, God seeks out those who are hungry for God’s blessings that they may enable the world to find a “living experience” in Jesus Christ.
God calls us to be a channel to fight the "good fight of faith". The apostle Paul as well as many of our spiritual ancestors were filled with this kind of fight to their dying day.
The writer of Hebrews said of them, “Who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of Lions, quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens” Hebrews 11: 33 – 34.
So, what kind of fighting faith have you been displaying in your life? Have you lost it? Have you been so overwhelmed you’ve grown discouraged, wounded, perplexed or a passive soldier for Christ? If so, it’s time to get back up, dust yourself off and, “Be strengthened with might through His Spirit in your inner man.” Ephesians 3:16
God calls every one of us to become little in our own eyes but mighty by His Power. He is no respecter of persons and wants to work through every believer a personal, specific role in dispensing His kingdom on earth.
So, put away your spiritual slackness and rise up in faith and lay hold of God’s promises for you. He is truly your "safety cord" in this vast world of uncertainty! Now use them for His honor!
