VALLEJO, CA – On October 27, 2021, Vallejo City Council opted to continue the mask mandate, initially ordered in August 2020. The mandate called for masks in indoor or enclosed public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. The California Department of Public Health has announced that they will repeal their universal mask mandate for *fully vaccinated individuals beginning February 16, 2022. However, the CDPH still recommends that fully vaccinated individuals continue to wear masks indoors when the risk may be high.
On February 22, 2022, during the regular City Council meeting, the Vallejo City Council will reevaluate the need for a continued mask mandate in the City of Vallejo. Meeting agendas are accessible to members of the public seventy-two hours before regular Council meetings. Paper agendas are also posted seventy-two hours before meetings outside Vallejo City Hall, located at 555 Santa Clara Street. Click here to visit the City Agendas and Videos page.
