VALLEJO - On November 21, 2021, at approximately 9:22am., Vallejo Police Officers responded to the report of a man down on the steps of a church in the 1000 block of Indiana Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male victim possibly in his early 60s. The victim, whose identity is currently unknown, was declared deceased at the scene by Vallejo Fire personnel. Preliminary reports reveal that the victim may have been unsheltered.
The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded to take over the investigation. This case is being investigated as a suspicious death pending an official autopsy report by the Solano County Coroner's Office. The victim's identity, which was unknown at the time of response, will be withheld pending next of kin notification by the Solano County Coroner's Office.
