VALLEJO PD INVESTIGATES DECEMBER 26, 2021 FATAL AUTO VS. PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC COLLISION

VALLEJO - On December 26, 2021 at approximately 7:14 p.m., Vallejo Police Officers responded to the report of an auto-pedestrian traffic collision in the 2900 block of Sonoma Blvd.


Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim lying in the roadway. The victim, a 29-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries from the hit-and-run and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel. 


The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Coroner’s Office. 


The Vallejo Police Department Traffic Division responded to take over the investigation. Preliminary details indicate that the suspect vehicle appeared to have been traveling northbound on Sonoma Blvd at the time of the collision. Officers are searching for a vehicle of interest (see photos below). The vehicle appears to be a two-door white sedan with significant front-end damage. 


This is the City of Vallejo’s 10th fatal traffic collision in 2021.

The Vallejo Police Department is searching for the above vehicle of interest in connection to a December 26, 2021 fatal hit-and-run that took the life of a 29-year-old man. The vehicle appears to be a two-door white sedan with significant front-end damage to the vehicle.
