VALLEJO PD LAUNCHES NOVEMBER 5, 2021 HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
VALLEJO - On November 5, 2021 at approximately 11:38 p.m., Vallejo Police Officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 300 block of Reis Avenue.

Upon arrival, Vallejo Police & Fire personnel located a male subject suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Both police and fire attempted life-saving measures, but the victim, a 41-year-old resident of Vallejo, was declared deceased at the scene by paramedics.

The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division responded to take over the investigation. The motive and circumstances involving this shooting are under investigation at this time. The victim's identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification by the Solano County Coroner's Office. 

This is the City of Vallejo's 16th homicide of 2021, pending the outcome of the official autopsy report in an August 2021 suspicious death investigation.
