This will be a family-friendly event with free food, childcare, live English-Spanish translation, and information about Common Roots, down payment and mortgage assistance programs, and how to get ready to buy a home for families earning between $28,000 and $65,000 a year.

More Powerful Together Community Grant Program

Columbia REA is currently accepting applications for its 2022 More Powerful Together Community Grant Program.

Grant funding will be available to selected organizations from Milton-Freewater, Or., Walla Walla County and Columbia County. The goal of the grant program is to make a one-time donation to one or more organizations that serve our communities. The maximum grant amount will be $10,000.

•   Applications will be accepted between Monday, July 11, and 5:30 pm, Thursday, August 18.
•   Applications received after 5:30 pm on August 18, 2022 will not be considered.
•   Applications will be accepted via email only.

Community Fellow Program
 
Whitman College is happy to announce that applications for Whitman College's 2022-2023 Community Fellow cohort are now available! Whitman College is looking for nonprofit organizations in the Walla Walla Valley with year-long projects addressing important issues in southeastern Washington from environmental stresses to social equity to apply to be a part of the program. They help find second-, third- and fourth-year students who can help move this work forward and will be paid by Whitman College.

Every 4-day Art Camp explores a variety of art styles & materials. 12 hours of high-quality art instruction with new, unique projects in every camp.

Register for an AM Camp (9:00am-12:00pm) or PM Camp (1:00pm-4:00pm), or take BOTH in one week for full days of ART FUN! Optional “Lunch Stay” (12:00pm-1:00pm) available.

On July 1st, Petersen Hastings was proud to announce the addition of Rachel Chacko as an Associate Wealth Advisor for the firm. Rachel joins us from fellow Zero Alpha Group (ZAG) affiliated firm, Carlson Capital Management, in which she held a similar role for four years. As an Associate Wealth Advisor at Petersen Hastings, Rachel is responsible for assisting the Advisory Team in managing existing client relationships and supporting their development of new client relationships.

July's featured speaker will be, Mexican-Irish Walla Walla native, Cia Cortinas + WOMEN-ONLY DANCE PARTY: Growing up in rural eastern Washington, Cia developed a great need to help celebrate and uplift the idea of a more multi cultural competent
community.
 
The doors will be closed to the general public to create a space where women can chat, inspire & support each other and have a glass of wine together. Come at 5PM to have time to grab a table and order your food and drinks.
