Valley Childrens celebrates 70 years of improving kids health

On Saturday, October 8, we were honored to commemorate seven decades caring for Central Valley kids at Valley Children's Healthcare's 70th Anniversary Gala on the South Lawn at Valley Children's Hospital. Generous sponsors and guests enjoyed an evening of celebration as we looked back on the incredible care provided to generations Central Valley kids over the last 70 years at Valley Children's. We are grateful to everyone who made the 70th Anniversary Gala an evening to remember.

To the tens of thousands who generously support Valley Children's each year, we thank you for making the last 70 years possible. With your support, we look forward to caring for kids for generations to come.

Bronze Sponsors
Walmart and Sam’s Club Campaign to Help Valley Kids Live Better

Walmart and Sam’s Club ran a fantastic campaign to raise funds for Valley Children’s this past summer. The 31 stores in the Central Valley raised an incredible $327,382 for the Hospital. Walmart associates were excited to host in-person events and interact more closely with customers following 2021's campaign that had taken place during the coronavirus pandemic. Walmart and Sam's Club associates raised funds through miracle balloon sales, car shows, carnivals and so much more.

We are so grateful for all their efforts in making this year’s campaign a big success. We offer our gratitude and a big congratulations to the highest-fundraising locations, including our top Division One Walmart (Store 1877 in Porterville), top Supercenter (Store 4238 in Sanger), and top Neighborhood Market (Store 5635 in Visalia). Thank you, Walmart and Sam’s Club!

On Thursday, October 20, some of our patients had a fun time playing video games and tabletop games with Valley Children's child life specialists and Extra Life gamers. Extra Life, a Children's Miracle Network Hospitals program, helps raise funds for ill and injured kids while allowing gamers to do what they love.

Extra Life's National Game Day is November 5, 2022. To learn more about National Game Day, please visit extra-life.org.
