SDCEA Board of Directors Election Update

As of Thursday, April 17, the Inspector of Elections received 774 ballots, representing 89% of our goal of 863 total votes. Thank you to everyone who has already voted!

WE STILL NEED 89 VOTES!

If you haven’t yet, we strongly encourage you to cast your vote in person at the Annual Meeting/Election on Saturday, April 19, between 4 and 6 pm, and, if the meeting is adjourned, on Tuesday, April 22, between noon and 2 pm.

Your vote matters in shaping the future of our community.

Dear Homeowners,

GRATITUDE.

At times, we need to sit back and reflect on things. Spring and Easter are a time for new growth and rebirth. I view SDCEA in the same light. With 50+ years of existence, the community has experienced many seasons, changes, growth, and challenges.

I view 2025 and 2026 as another Spring Season for the community. I was charged with finding new paths to financial and operational success. I am working with our managers, teams, committees, the Board, and you to bring about those changes. And I am grateful to be here as a servant leader and instrument of positive change.

In a broader view, we live in one of the most desired counties in the country. You have found a hidden gem within San Diego County to make your home. I encourage each of us to take time to enjoy all that there is to offer, in our homes, the natural spaces that surround us, and the numerous amenities of SDCEA. Appreciation goes hand in hand with Gratitude.

Instead of a recitation of problems, let us use GRATITUDE to find more peace, community spirit, and have solution-based conversations.

Together, WE can make San Diego Country Estates the Best that it can Be.

Firewise Training Workshop: Community Comes Together for Wildfire Preparedness

On Saturday morning, April 12, the IEC Rotunda buzzed with purpose as 40 SDCEA homeowners and residents gathered to take action toward protecting their homes and community from wildfire. The Firewise Educational Training workshop brought together local fire experts, law enforcement, and community leaders, all offering practical knowledge and guidance.

Fire Fuel Clearing: Nature Trail East “Cope Trail”

Extensive fire fuel clearing and trail restoration on Nature Trail East has enhanced safety, accessibility, and natural beauty for the community, with more work planned in the fall.

Annual SDCE Spring Clean-Up — FREE for Association Members!
