Hello Homeowners,
I appreciate the feedback I get on these articles, and I am glad that you find them useful and are opening up the doors of communication. I wish I had more ability to meet a larger percentage of you; for now, Valley News articles, meetings, and community events will have to suffice. It is always good to meet homeowners as I am out and about. Thank you for reaching out and being part of making the community the best that it can be. SDCEA is a special place to live, work, and enjoy!
I would like to extend a big thank you to our team of employees. They have been instrumental in taking workplace safety to heart. WE, as a TEAM, have taken safety and hazard reduction seriously. Nobody wants employees to get hurt, but the focus on avoiding injuries has a significant impact on our ability to complete work and on our bottom line. September is our workers' comp and master insurance package renewal time. The Board will have a second review of our insurance policies and refined premium quotes at Tuesday’s meeting. The bottom line / good news, is that our workers’ comp modeling or Experience Modification has dropped significantly each of the last two years, resulting in what we all want to hear: reduced insurance costs. The same applies to our property coverages.
We have three main areas of insurance coverage:
- Employee Health/Benefits Insurance
- Property/Liability/Association Insurance
- Workers' Compensation Insurance
I am pleased to say that we have had good results this year with our recent renewals. Staying SAFE at work, being healthier in life, and a tremendous amount of fire fuel reduction and removals are showing dividends. This is how a well-run association works to benefit every homeowner. Next week, I will report on the details of how our renewal premiums compare to those of other associations in California this year.
Thanks again for helping us make San Diego Country Estates the best it can be! See you at the Ramona Rodeo!
Thank you, Carl Weise, GM
